Important information about the issuance of Binding Study Advice (BSA)
From now on Leiden University will send study advice by email only. Make sure to check your uMail account regularly.
As a student of Leiden University you are subject to BSA regulations. In accordance with these regulations you will receive non-binding advice on the progress of your studies in January-February and binding study advice in July-August.
Leiden University’s BSA regulations state that study advice is issued in writing (sent by letter). This is about to change. From now on Leiden University will send study advice by email only. You will receive your non-binding study advice for the academic year 2015/2016 by email before 1 March 2016. This will be in digital form for the first time.
Leiden University sends official emails to its students using their university email address (uMail address). You received your uMail address when you became a student of Leiden University. It is coupled to your ULCN account. Make sure to check your uMail account regularly.
Copies of all BSA emails will be saved in uSis. To access these mails log into uSis, click on Self Service, go to Notifications Center and select the ‘Email’ tab.
