Front Office Student Affairs
Drop by the Front Office Student Affairs if you have any questions on issues such as student registration, limited quota selection procedures (loting) or tuition fees.

Support and advice
If you require support or advice, before or during your studies, get in touch with one of our study advisors, internship/study abroad coordinators, careers counsellors or other student supervisors.

Information desks
If you have questions about practical matters, such as schedules, registration for courses, classrooms, libraries, education information desks/secretariats or study credits, go to one of our information desks.

For assistance with broken vending machines, minor building repairs or the rental of audio-visual equipment, visit one of our service desks.

ICT Helpdesk
Contact the ICT helpdesk if you have a question about university ICT facilities or want to report an IT problem.

Do you have a question or complaint about inappropriate or offensive behaviour, or a decision you don’t agree with? You can request advice and assistance from the confidential advisor, ombudsperson or via the complaints service.

In case of emergency

Take the following steps in cases of emergency:

  • Serious emergencies / life-threatening situations : call 112

  • Alarm number for university buildings: call the in-house first aid team. The alarm number is provided on every telephone in every university building.

  • Accidents / urgent medical assistance required (non-emergency):

    • Between 08:00 and 17:00 – call your general practitioner (doctor)

    • After 17:00, call the ‘out-of-hours’ doctor’s service in Leiden: 0900-513 8039, or in the Hague: 070-346 9669

  • Urgent assistance required (non-emergency):
    • Police national helpline: 0900-8844

    • Leiden University 24/7 urgent assistance/emergency help number: +31 (0)71 527 6666.
      You can call this number if you require rapid help and advice. This number can also be used if a serious incident occurs outside the university (e.g. in your home or student association building).
