Work permit

As a foreign student, you need to know what the requirements are for you to work in the Netherlands.

European Union Students

Students with an EU/EEA nationality are allowed to work in the Netherlands without limitations.

Non-EU Nationality Students

Students without an EU/EEA nationality are only allowed to work up to 10 hours per week, averaged over the year, or full-time during the summer months (June, July, August). Please note that employers are required to apply for a work permit for non-EU students.
